GAS POWERED RACER W/ACCESSORIES, TROPHIES, MAGAZINES. Really great gas powered yellow racer from the early 1940’s. Custom features: hand-soldered fuel tank, offset for enhanced weight distribution; additional weights on left front wheel. Motor still has compression (POP). Car accompanied by four Model Craftsman magazines from the 1940’s, two of which have articles on original owner. Trophies include: 1941 – 1st place, 1 mile, 65.36 mph; 1st place, 1 mile, 64.73 mph; 1st place, 1 mile, 68.23 mph; March 9, 1941: world record at 70.86 mph. Two photos of owner with car. Additional items include oil cans, shop cloth, actual section of rail, and other car accessories. SIZE: Car 18″ l. CONDITION: Car very good to excellent, with some minor chipping.
