TIFFANY TABLE LANTERN. Exceptional Tiffany table lantern has deeply impressed design extending up the foot and stem with openwork design bordering the bottom and top edge of the gold favrile shade. Lamp is finished with an openwork heat cap and matching finial. Lantern is pictured in the book “Louis C. Tiffany: The Garden Museum Collection” on page 316. It is noted in this book that the base is numbered “517” which is listed in Tiffany price lists as bookmark pattern, although the lamp does not correspond stylistically to the bookmark desk set pattern. Signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 517”. SIZE: 14″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor discoloration to patina. 5-63895 (8,000-10,000)
