HUBLEY PACKARD. Probably the best automotive toy that Hubley or any other toy company produced, and also the most expensive to produce. There are over 25 separate castings involved. Compared to other toys of the period, it was considerably more expensive, which may account for its relative scarcity. It has opening hoods that reveal a nickel plated motor, opening front doors, nickel plated driver, separate nickel plated front grill, added spare tire, etc. It is highly prized by automotive toy collectors. SIZE: 11″ l. CONDITION: Car is in generally good condition with uniform wear throughout. There appears to be overpainting to the car and wheels. The driver’s side door is an old replacement, which is very common for this car, oftentimes found without doors or hoods. There also appears to be old repair/restoration to the front and rear fender areas. 1-9842 (3,000-5,000)
