DELFT MAGENTA DECORATED MUG W/PEWTER LID. Probably 2nd half 18th cent. This unsigned example with applied handle and fitted with a pewter hinged lid with shell finger grip and stamped with the initials “I P”, fitted to the cylindrical body paint decorated with opposing panels depicting buildings and tower. The handle painted with horizontal stripes. The top and base rims with a border of stripes. SIZE: 7″ h. CONDITION: Overall in good condition with small chips and glaze losses at rim and base rim and losses to glaze on handle. 9-97061 (600-800)
