DELFT BALUSTER FORM PITCHER. Probably mid-19th cent. Unmarked baluster form swirled example with handle paint decorated overall with fruit and flower heads on a stipled background. The rim painted with s scrolls, the handle similarly decorated. SIZE: 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: With chips and glazing losses along rim edge, similar glazing losses on base rim, the handle with surface chips and glazing loss, the body with a vertical hairline Y form crack from rim to mid point of pitcher. Otherwise retaining good color in glaze. 9-96596 (400-600)
