SMALL HUBLEY “LINDY” GLIDER. An scarce cast iron toy produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Co. in the 1930s. This toy plane has an integral pilot that is seated in front of the wing, his hands circle the throttle stick while his feet rest upon a frontal support. Nickel plated disc wheels, enameled in a red framework and a yellow wing. The plane has red highlighting to accent the embossed lettering. This toy is pictured in the 1933 Hubley toy catalog and is seldom found in original condition without damage to the iron castings. SIZE: 6-1/4″ wingspan. CONDITION: Overall paint is very good +. 1-10530 (1,000-1,500)
