LARGEST HUBLEY “LINDY” GLIDER. An extremely scarce cast iron toy produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Co. in the 1930s. The toy features a removable figure that is seated in front of the wing. His hands circle the throttle stick while his feet rest upon a frontal support. Iron wheel hubs with rubber tires, Hubley decal on left tail section, enameled in a red framework and a yellow wing. The plane has gilt and red highlighting to accent the embossed lettering. This toy plane is seldom found in complete original condition without damage to the iron castings or with the driver/pilot intact! SIZE: 11″ wingspan.
