EXCEPTIONAL DENTZEL CARVED CAROUSEL CHARIOT. One of the most elaborate and appealing carvings one could hope to find by one of the world’s most sought after carvers. This two seat carousel bench with padded upholstery features elaborate carvings of winged cherubs with trumpets in a spoke wheel chariot being pulled by fantastic winged tigers/griffins. What is highly unusual is that this piece has two “romance” sides rather than just the one that shows on the outside. The back of each seat is graced by hand painted scene of a tranquil lake lined with trees and appears to be all original while the exterior panels are well repainted.
