LOT OF 4 EARLY WOODEN BANKS. Lot consists of the following: 1) Bureau with six knobs, patented May 12, 1898; when coin is placed in top drawer and drawer is closed, coin disappears into bank; very scarce. 2) Bureau, “Jas SERRILL”; function is similar to six-knob bureau above; hard to find. 3) Tall chest, with drawer function as above. 4) Short chest with single drawer, with similar drawer function as above. SIZE: Tallest 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: 1) Excellent, with patent date on top of bureau still partially visible. 2) Excellent, with “From the Collection of Edwin H. Mosler, Jr.” sticker on underside. 3) and 4) Very good to excellent. 1-9943, 1-9944, 1-9955-2 (800-1,000)
