Please Note: Base of lid is slightly larger than opening to rim end therefore needs to be ground to seat properly. There was another member of this family that at one time had an identical pair of vases (now gone). It is believed that the lids were interchanged some years ago.

PAIR OF LARGE JADE VASES. Early 20th century, China. Spinach colored jade. Surfaces carved with elephants. Acanthus leaf decoration at the top and on the covers. Elephant mask handles and foo dog finials. SIZE: 20″ h. PROVENANCE: Ex-Eu Tong Sen/Jenny Eu Collection. CONDITION: Very good overall. 9-27871 (400-600)
