IMPORTANT GROUPING OF MINIATURE WATERCOLOR PORTRAITS. First half 19th century. Five watercolors of a woman and boy. The female oval portraits rendered in a frontal and three-quarter bust profile wearing a head scarf with a jeweled brooch and a pearl necklace. Clothed in a lace empire dress adorned with a watch fob and chain. The young boy done in a rectangular full portrait in blue suit with lace collar playing with a hoop with two additional smaller side view oval half portraits. SIZE: Rectangular 5″ x 3 1/2″ sight. Ovals 2 3/4″ x 2 1/4″. CONDITION: All with brown foxing and staining. The central full portrait with creased upper corners and water stain between.
