FOUR PATENT MODEL FLY TRAPS. Lot consists of metal frameworks with screen walls including #127,721 by Welty & Hollinger, dated June 11, 1872; #204,053 by David S. Kidder, dated May 21, 1878 and #178,235 by Asa J. Cale & W.D. Dickson, dated June 6, 1876, which is accompanied by a nearly identical example that may be a production piece or yet another improvement on the 1876 patent. Both are stenciled with “cottage fly trap” with the first marked with inventor’s name. Three are accompanied by original patent tags (in varying condition), receiving tags and Peterson tags. SIZE: Largest is 9-1/4″ l x 8″ h. CONDITION: Various paint chips and dents to tin.
