3 BANKS: COLUMBIAN MAGIC & 2 REGISTERING BANKS. 1) Columbian Magic Savings Bank, nickel-plated, manufactured by Introduction Co. Swing shelf open and place coin on it; close shelf and coin disappears into bank. This bank was made for the Columbian Exposition. 2) Time Registering bank by Ives, Blakeslee & Williams Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut. When 100 dimes are deposited in bank, front door automatically pops out. Bank comes in two finishes, nickel plate or japanned with gold. This japanned version is the scarcer of the two. 3) Also made by Ives, is a registering dime savings bank. Door automatically opens when ten dollars’ worth of dimes has been deposited. SIZE: Tallest 7″ h. CONDITION: Columbian bank is in excellent condition. Although the Time Registering bank appears all original, the front door is possibly a later re-cast. Nickel plating of third bank is in excellent plus condition; front door is possibly of a later vintage. 1-9919, 1-9920, 1-9921 (600-800)
