TWO TRICK DOG BANKS. 1) Solid base bank manufactured by Hubley. This is the later version of the Trick Dog Bank. Has solid blue base with “Trick Dog” in gold lettering. Put coin in dog’s mouth. When lever is pushes, dog jumps through hoop, deposits coin in barrel. 2) Six-part base bank manufactured by Hubley. This bank depicts a dog, put coin in mouth, jumping through the clown’s hoop and depositing a coin in the barrel. Although the bank has very simple action, it was probably very amusing to the young folks who saved their money in this bank. It was a very popular bank at the turn of the century. SIZE: Both are 7-1/2″ h. CONDITION: 1) Is excellent plus in near mint condition. It has its original key but lacks its trap. 2) Is very good to excellent with some minor chipping and paint loss throughout bank but more prominently to the back of the clown. 1-9915, 1-9953 (500-900)
