GRENADIER BANK & VOLUNTEER BANK. Both banks made by John Harper & Co. in England. 1) Coin is placed on Grenadier’s gun; when his right foot (lever) is pressed he shoots coin into target on tree, depositing money, and simultaneously his head moves. 2) Action of Volunteer bank is identical to that of Grenadier. The only difference between them is the casting of the heads and the names on the bases (“GRENADIER BANK” on one, “VOLUNTEER BANK” on the other). SIZE: Each 9-3/4″ l. CONDITION: Grenadier bank very good, with typical paint chips and wear to high points. Possibly some inpainting to Grenadier’s cap.
