UNSIGNED (Italian, 19th Century) THE MUSICIAN. Oil on wood panel scene shows a man with red stocking cap, lace sandals and summer costume playing a guitar on a veranda overlooking an Italian harbor. A paper on back attributes this work to J F. Overbeck. Housed in a modern gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: Sight: 16-1/2″ x 13-1/2″. CONDITION: Inpainting with some restoration needed. 9-93814 (1,500-2,500)
