35″, (89 CM), JUMEAU BÉBÉ. Larger than life size child with the head incised simply “14”. This extremely large child has replaced blue paperweight eyes, open mouth with six upper teeth, finely painted eyelashes and eyebrows, on her original fully-jointed wood and composition body which contains two pull strings allowing her to say “Mama” and “Papa”. She wears a long dress of fine sheer white silk (melting), a ruffled silk cape of similar material and in a similar condition, white leather children’s shoes, a long honey human hair wig in long curls, and a straw brimmed fringe covered with yellow cloth flowers and simulated velvet leaves. CONDITION: Bisque head is free of damage and of very good quality.
