HORSESHOE ARMCHAIR. 19th century, China. The horseshoe shaped crestrail continuing to outscrolled hand grips, the central backsplat carved with ruyi flanked by cylindrical stiles continuing to undulating arm supports. All centering a woven seat within a rectangular panel raised on cylindrical legs with picture frame molding, the frontal legs joined by a rectangular foot rest. SIZE: 39″ h of back, 20″ h of seat. CONDITION: With old polished surfaces showing minor abrasions. Proper left arm with break above hand grip, in need of restoration. Otherwise very good. 9-27564 (500-700)
