DAPPER DAN BANK. Fairly scarce bank made by Louis Marx & Co. Bank is brightly lithographed and Dan stands on top of box, with sides of box saying, “Admission 1¢ to 25¢” and “See Dapper Dan, the Famous Jigger”. Great concept because as a child plays with the toy it encourages him to save money. When base of bank is wound and coin is inserted in top of box, Dapper Dan does a jig in a very comical fashion. Surely great amusement for the young! SIZE: 10-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Near excellent, with some minor wear and oxidation to base of bank. Overall, a far superior example of this bank. 1-9924 (800-1,200)
