WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. 1908 POSTER. When this poster was first issued it was printed with an extended border that read in part “Shoot Them and Avoid Trouble” in reference to the skunk. The tag line was seen as open to misinterpretation, becoming so controversial that Winchester trimmed all future issues, removing the border entirely. Lettering at the bottom reads “Copyright 1908 by Winchester Repeating Arms Co.” SIZE: Sight: 28-1/2″ w x 20-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Good-very good; 5-1/2″ horizontal tear at left margin; color shift from red to green. 1-13196 (800-1,200)
