SHOOT THE CHUTE MECHANICAL BANK BOX. Most mechanical bank boxes are extremely rare and highly prized by bank collectors. In fact they are sometimes harder to find than the mechanical banks themselves. The Shoot the Chute dovetailed wooden box has original lid and is boldly stamped on the side “One bank, No. 339 ‘Shoot the Chute'” by J & E Stevens Co. Also has operating instructions on side. Found in New Hampshire and belonged to a relative of the box manufacturers of J & E Stevens. SIZE: 10-1/2″ l x 7-1/2″ CONDITION: Very good with slight splinter loss to top right side of box where lid enters. 1-10460 (800-1,200)
