CALLED OUT MECHANICAL BANK. This is an extremely rare bank. Very few examples have surfaced. Some were found unpainted, and a few examples have turned up in brass (brass ones could possibly be a pattern?). There is a chance this bank was never commercially sold, which is why it is so elusive. This example is made of brass. Soldier stands in front of tent, and when coin is deposited at right side of tent, another soldier standing at attention pops out of the top. SIZE: 8-3/4″ overall h. CONDITION: Excellent, with minor discoloration. Also lacks trap. 1-9878 (4,000-6,000)
