GERMAN WIND-UP DIORAMA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE WITH MUSIC. A typical early 20th Century hand crank Bavarian mountain village scene depicting the mountains, a train going through the village and various small buildings and houses. Ornately done in one of many elaborate versions produced in mass by a German manufacture for export to the United States. When hand cranked the train goes between the tunnels above the village, the windmill blades spin and the music box hidden within plays a tune. A charming toy in very fine condition. SIZE: Approx. 11-1/2″ x 8″ x 11″ t. CONDITION: Overall somewhat dusty with light soiling. Fraulein is missing one arm. 7-70033 (800-1,200)
