CAILLE “WINNER DICE MACHINE”. A neat elaborately cast iron gambling machine from the turn of the century, manufactured by the Caille Brothers of Detroit, Michigan. When a penny or a nickel is deposited in the slot and the knob is turned, 5 dice would pop up. Rewards were paid by totaling the sum of the dice and comparing to the award card on the front of the machine. Lacking original glass globe and iron bezel ring, machine is currently “jammed” and lacking key for rear door. SIZE: 6-1/2″ w x 9-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Castings are intact yet original finish is very weak. Original paper label is present but shows some distress. 1-13494 (450-750) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2013 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
