ATTRIBUTED TO MAXIMILIAN LUCE (French, 1858-1941) GATHERING AT THE CHURCH. Oil on canvas scene shows figures walking to a church. Some are walking up and towards the stairway while others on the street with a cart and horse. Signed lower right “Luce”. Housed in a period decorated molded wood frame. This painting comes with a paper indicating that Anita Bartlett-Picarella of New York City has seen pictures and felt is was authentic but Anita has not seen it in person for final determination.
