NORTH POLE MECHANICAL BANK SECOND CASTING. Manufactured by J & E Stevens. The North Pole bank is extremely scarce. Only a few original examples have turned up. This bank, the second casting, still relatively scarce made some years after the original casting. The bank depicts Admiral Byrd’s adventures at the North Pole with Eskimos and sleds on the front and back of bank. When coin is placed in slot on side of bank, an American flag pops out of the top. SIZE: Height 5-3/4″ CONDITION: Bank is in overall very good plus condition with some wear to the high points of the bank. 1-9894 (2,000-4,000)
