HOPALONG CASSIDY AND DOGPATCH BAND TOYS WITH ORIGINAL BOXES. 1) A beautiful Hopalong Cassidy windup Ridin’ Cowboy with animated lasso and moving arm. A relatively scarce toy in outstanding condition. Front side of toy shows Hoppy with his horse Topper, backside shows Hoppy in action with gun. Brilliant colors throughout. Box is actually for Marx’s “Range Rider” toy, a nearly identical toy, but with slightly different graphics. 2) Lil Abner’s Dogpatch Band by Unique Art Newark, NJ. This popular piano toy concept was used for many years by Marx Toys. After WWII Marx turned to Al Capp and his famous Dogpatch comic strip for the inspiration for this toy. Lots of action. A great example. SIZE: Largest 10″ x 11″ l. CONDITION: Both toys are excellent to near mint and working. Boxes are fair. 1-13327 (500-700)
