FANCIFUL CAROUSEL OF GERMAN ORIGIN. Hand painted German tin, circa 1910, likely by Mueller & Kaderer containing four pressed cardboard horses and riders. The toy is activated by either a hand crank or is attached to a live steam engine. When activated, the carousel goes around in a counterclockwise motion while emitting plink plank music (inoperative). Three glass and tin lights suspended from an internal canopy would illuminate the platform for nighttime rides. Still retains original flag at top of carousel. SIZE: 17″ t. CONDITION: Significant flaking to tin. One lamp missing, but tin shade is present. 1-7611 JL (500-1,000)
