HARVARD VS YALE 1948 RACING SCULL CROSS SECTION NOW MOUNTED AS COFFEE TABLE. This cut and finished scull section originally from the Harvard/Yale races June 25, 1948 in New London, CT. Used in the 4 miles downstream race which set a course record of 19 minutes, 21.4 seconds, and so described on the surface of the table. The stepped section now fitted with glass tops mounted within brass corner brackets and raised on a scrolled trestle form base. SIZE: 17-3/4″ h x 63-1/2″ l x 22″ overall w.
