DARKTOWN BATTERY MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by J & E Stevens. Originally sold as the Baseball Bank and is considered one of the most desirable banks because of the appeal to the people who collect Black Memorabilia and baseball memorabilia. The bank also has incredible action. A coin is placed in the pitcher’s hand, and when lever is pressed the pitcher pitches the coin and head moves back. The batter lifts his bat to swing, and his head turns. Also at the same time the catcher’s head comes down and hand swivels and coin is deposited in catcher. It’s hard to conceive that an iron bank with the pushing of a lever could set all these players into motion simultaneously. It’s an extremely desirable bank. SIZE: 9-1/2″ l.
