TWO BLACK RELATED TOYS WITH ORIGINAL BOXES. Jazzbo Jim – “The Dancer on the Roof” Tin windup by Unique Art, Newark, NJ. Fully jointed tin Black dancer performs on rooftop of cabin. Stereotypical images of Black Americans lithographed around perimeter of cabin. Characters are shown with pickaninny hair dos, banjos, and exaggerated facial features. Lot also includes the Amos n’ Andy Fresh Air Taxi by Marx. Louis Marx turned to characters Amos and Andy who were Radio, T.V., and Print characters for decades. This Pre-War toy features windup action which sends Model T taxi forward in erratic motion. Taxi then stops and shakes violently as Amos, Andy, and dog flail about inside. SIZE: Largest 10″ t. CONDITION: Both toys are working, complete, and very clean. Averaging very good to near excellent. Boxes are fair. 1-13328 (600-1,000)
