LEAP FROG MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by Shepard Hardware. Very popular in the 1880’s was the game of leap frog, and this bank depicts two children playing the game. When lever is released, a powerful spring propels one boy over the other, hits a lever, and the coin on top of the tree is deposited in bank. Probably a very appealing bank to the young children of the time. SIZE: 5″ h. CONDITION: Bank is in good condition. Appears all original with overall chipping especially to the figures and the back fence of the bank. 1-9861 (800-1,600) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2010 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
