PAUL SEIGNAC (French, 1826-1904) PREPARING THE BREAD. Oil on wood panel interior scene shows a young woman with flour sack pouring flour into a floor dough box while her daughters look on. The interior is nicely appointed as a country house and one of the girls has a blue smock while the other girl and mother are wearing red head scarves. Signed lower left “Seignac”. Housed in a period gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 16″ x 12-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-93870 (15,000-25,000)
