HANSOM STYLE CARRIAGE WITH ARTICULATED HORSE. Beautifully enameled tin carriage in blue and red with yellow striping, folding metal framed oilcloth top is lined with light blue silk that matches the tufted upholstery that wraps around the inside of the carriage and adorns the skirted bench seat. The painted carved wooden horse has articulated legs and on ex-centric axles, which makes it appear to walk in a realistic manner. The wooden platform beneath the horse is grain painted and is supported by cast iron wheels. A truly wonderful and unusual horse drawn toy. SIZE: 17″ l.
