MUTOSCOPE SKYSCRAPER TRAVELING CRANE DIGGER MACHINE. The classic art deco digger from the 1920s that would be featured in amusement parks or other settings of the time. A fancy large front aluminum plaque with manufacturer’s name with another plaque indicating that this machine was sold by Mills Sales Co. of Oakland, California. In the observation window where the crane is located, on the right and left side are two compartments filled with goodies that would flow down into the active area. The front facades of these compartments picture the Empire State Building. The machine is in as-found untouched condition perhaps last painted over 50 years ago. Mechanics untested but appears to be complete. SIZE: 42″ h x 23″ w x 20″ d. CONDITION: As described above, original coin entry was most likely functional on one cent and has been updated with a newer coin entry operated on a nickel. This replacement coin entry does not fit perfectly over the original void. 1-12268 (800-1,200) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2012 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
