FABULOUS CLOCKWORK SANTA AERIAL TOY. Circa 1900 probably Distler, Germany. Related to early aeronautical toys. This clockwork flying Santa would hang from string attached above and spin in circular motion. Could also double as Christmas ornament for larger tree. Great early look. SIZE: 6-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Some in-painting to red areas. Branch greens that Santa is holding are probably not original. Overall image remains strong and good to very good. Mechanism working. 1-13369 (700-1,200)
