O.D. JENNINGS ROCKAWAY “JACKS” TRADE STIMULATOR. One of the more elaborate penny payout Jacks machines. When a coin is deposited and the plunger pushed, the penny drops into a pinned spinning see-saw dial, then cascades down through a series of pins, hopefully landing in one of the payout pockets. If luck would have it, and the penny drops into one of the pockets, you would be entitled to all the coins in the corresponding window below that pocket. Just like potato chips, one could not play just a single penny. Although the odds were in the favor of the house, the player would easily be tempted by the chance of hitting it big and play again. The Jacks machines in general were low maintenance and highly profitable for the operator. This particular machine also would have vended gumballs with each play (lacking gum mechanism). A visually attractive machine with a polished and painted front castings and an oak cabinet. SIZE: 15″ w x 12″ d x 22″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good plus restored condition. Back door is a quality wood replacement with replica instruction sheet on interior panel. 1-12379 (1,500-2,000)
