FOUR CONTINENTAL SILVER TABLE CANDLESTICKS. Early 19th Century. 1 & 2) Pair with octagonal faceted stem with conforming urn formed sconce, the square base chased with a band of acanthus leaves and flower heads raised on four ball and claw feet. Bases hallmarked on edge with identifiable hallmarks. 3) Similar candlestick with different decoration involving flowers with a more pronounced scalloped base. Hallmarks on edge. 4) Also similar but with a line of flower and leaves. Weight: 59 tr. oz. (Unknown silver content). SIZE: 10-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: Robert Frederick Woolworth Estate, Monmouth, Maine. (F.W. Woolworth Store). CONDITION: Top rims with some dents and one with bent lip, overall very good. 9-23546 (2,500-4,000)
