CHEESE SCALE. Late 19th, early 20th century, France. A large floor scale for measuring wheels of cheese. Decorated with the following: “EMILE CHAPET/FROMAGIER/VENTE de/CAMEMBERT/FERMIER”. Scale accompanied by counterbalance weight platform and with a series of weights ranging in size from 1 hectog up to 5 kilos. Scale intact and appears operational. SIZE: Approx 30″ h x 45″ l x 20″ w.
