PELICAN BANK WITH ARAB. Manufactured by Trenton Lock & Hardware Co. This fairly scarce bank is in the shape of a full-figured pelican standing on a beach. When coin is pressed into slot on top of pelican’s head, his mouth opens and surprises an unsuspecting depositor by exposing a human figure – in this case, an Arab, which is probably the most scarce figure. This bank was also sold with one of four other figures in the pelican’s mouth. SIZE: 8″ h. CONDITION: Bank is in excellent-plus condition with some minor wear to Arab’s head. 1-9903 (1,500-2,500)
