NATALIA SERGEEVNA GONCHAROVA (Russian, 1881-1962) TWO WORKS: DANCER #1 & #2. Gouache on light board costume designs show a woman dancer with an exotic costume which incorporates balls on strings and a looped headdress. Both are signed “NG” in Cyrillic. One having a crossed off annotation at bottom. Each piece is painted on the inside cover of an old drawing album with Cyrillic writing. Unframed. SIZE: 10-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ and 8-1/2″ x 10-1/2″. CONDITION: Background paper with surface dirt, otherwise good. 9-93838 (5,000-10,000)
