PAIR OF JACOBEAN STYLE CARVED WALNUT ARMCHAIRS. Last quarter 19th century, English. Each oversized chair with scrolling crestrail carved with leaftips and birds above the rectangular back panel, carved with scrolling garlands and flanked by floral rosettes joined to the downswept molded arms with rolled grips and scrolled volutes centering a trapezoidal plank seat fitted with an upholstered cushion, raised on blocked tapering square legs terminating in ball feet, joined by an H-form stretcher.
