HENRY MARC DOUBLE DIAL CALENDAR CLOCK. French, first half 19th century. The enameled upper dial with Roman numeral chaptering, open escapement, time and strike apertures, and marked “H. MARC/PARIS” within a molded mahogany conforming mount set on a scrolled plinth. The brass movement with the serial number “28507”, the maker’s name stamped within a rondel above a second rondel stamped with “Medaille d’Or”. The calendar dial within a mahogany housing with concave sides, the enameled dial beneath a beveled glass bezel, the outer dial with months of the year centering two smaller dials, the left dial with numerical days of the month, the right dial with the days of the week, above a paint decorated moon phase aperture, the brass mechanism accessible from a hinged mahogany door at the rear. The whole raised on a conforming rectangular plinth with concave ebonized molding. Sold with original pendulum. SIZE: 17-1/2″ h x 12-1/4″ w x 6″ d. CONDITION: The case cleaned and polished.
