LEHMANN NEW CENTURY CYCLE W/ORIGINAL BOX. This early design featuring a Berlin pedal engine cab developed into the New Century Cycle. This rare version has a passenger carrying the British flag, in place of the more common hat. As car moves forward, flag rises up and down while the red and white striped umbrella that coachman is holding spins. Toy comes with original box. SIZE: 5″ l. CONDITION: Probably one of the best – if not THE best – conditioned examples of this toy to ever turn up at auction. Colors are extremely bright, and gold staining on the wheels is brilliant. Overall, toy is in near mint plus condition. Label on box is near mint. On the box itself, two small parts of the side flaps on lid are missing. Overall, box is excellent plus. 1-10289 (1,500-2,500)
