FINE SALESMAN SAMPLE: OLD TOWN OR KENNEBEC CANOE ON STAND. Early 20th century. Scale model constructed of longitudinal planks joined to flat, steam bent ribs covered in canvas, now with a later application of cream paint. The mahogany gunwales with strapping and the prow and stern covered with a copper sheath. The interior mounted with two shaped, hand-caned seats, and shaped struts. Bow and stern each with a one-piece shaped and cut out mahogany deck. Now mounted on a later pine stand. SIZE: Canoe: 52″ l x 9-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Canvas cover intact. Interior with original varnished surfaces. Steam bent spine with some compression damage at each end of canoe. 9-21902 (4,000-6,000)
