EARLY PAPIER MACHE REINDEER CANDY CONTAINERS. A fine pair of early reindeer candy containers, circa 1910-20 with painted facial features, lead antlers, and removable heads at neck area. Unusual in nature in that they have their heads turned upwards with open mouths and what appears to be snow applied to their bodies. Obviously encountered while they were delivering toys to good little children. Nice standalone additions or perhaps in front of a sleigh. SIZE: Approx. 6-1/2″ t x 8-1/4″ l. CONDITION: Appears to have some old cracks/damage to legs, but not visually unattractive. Some repair to neck cylinders, but internal and not visible while on shelf. 1-10518 (1,000-1,500)
