ANGLO-INDIAN CARVED MAHOGANY BOX. Late 20th century, India. The rectangular stepped lid carved in deep relief depicting a pride of lions hunting deer within multiple scrolling borders of leaf tips. The box sides deeply carved with animal filled jungle landscapes above a molded base raised on claw feet with scrolling pierced returns. SIZE: 9-1/4″ h x 14-3/4″ w x 9-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Unfinished condition, i.e. without polish, hinges or lock. 9-29842 (200-400)
