FRENCH PAPIER MACHE BULLDOG. A fine early and most ferocious bulldog also known as “the French Bulldog” but most likely of German manufacture. This fellow, looking somewhat emaciated with pronounced ribs, glass eyes, large ears, and a straw collar, has wooden wheels hidden within his paws. The child could pull the dog along by means of a chain extending from his neck, or perhaps suddenly stop and pull the chain upwards, causing the dog to growl and bare his teeth. Great for accompanying and protecting your French bebes. SIZE: 17″ l. CONDITION: Overall condition of flocking is good to very good, growler currently not functioning, jaw somewhat sluggish. Right front leg turned slightly inwards and a quarter-inch gap between floor and wooden roller. 1-10501 (1,000-1,500)
