IMPRESSIVE CARVED AND PAINTED BARBER POLE. Late 19th/early 20th century. The pole with red, white and blue striping, surmounted by a gilt ball, joined to square base and fitted to the original stand. Base and stand in black paint. SIZE: (overall) 8′ 3″h. CONDITION: Structurally good with old painted surfaces. Ball now white over old gilding. Pole shows appropriate weathering with dried surfaces. 9-23378 (4,000-6,000)
