HOOD’S SARSAPARILLA SIGN. Stone lithograph image of fashionably attired mother and son in a buggy pulled by a tandem of horses. Sign is captioned “Wins The Blue Ribbon”, a reference to both the National Horse Show Association of America of 1895 and this maker’s Sarsaparilla. Construction appears to be lithographed celluloid bonded to heavy, stiff paper board. Bottom marked “Copyright 1895 by C.I. Hood & Co., Lowell, Mass.”. SIZE: 29″ w x 42-3/4″ h. CONDITION: Good to very good; celluloid has yellowed and shows a few perimeter stains. 1-12487 (400-600)
